My position at UDA Technologies was my first job out of college. As I was approaching my graduation from Auburn University a semester ahead of time, I was searching for a local position that fit my expertise, goals, and experience.

When I was offered the opportunity with UDA in November of 2023, I did not expect how quickly I would be involved in major projects.

I began my work with UDA as a Market/Technical Writer early in December. Since writing is still my #1 skill, this opportunity was perfect. I had some marketing experience under my belt from previous opportunities, and the largest trade show in the world was coming up in only a couple of months. My executives saw this as the perfect opportunity for me to get started.

Starting in my first week of work at UDA, I began writing. I met with the company’s CEO to interview him about previous experiences at the trade show and the city — Las Vegas. I took note of what was said each time. Before long, I wrote weekly blog posts to promote our company’s presence at the show — The International Builders’ Show (2024).

Simultaneously, of course, I continued learning about my company and our software. The team invited me to attend the show for a couple of different reasons — to create content while there and to meet with potential clients to demonstrate our software.

My weekly countdown blog posts generated interest and excitement from my company’s current contact list. These blogs were announced via email to over 60,000 individuals and generated an open rate at a percentage height that the company had not seen for many years. Additionally, the blog received positive comments on the content, but also verbally at the trade show from current clients.
